Demand for 15″ laptops falls, and 11″ – increasing

According to Taiwan’s Digitimes resource, citing sources in the supply chain, the volume of shipments of 15-inch notebook models began to fall due to the stagnation in the European market.

According to IDC, the supply of laptops with 15-inch screens fell from 20.07 million units in the last quarter of 2012 to about 16.9 million units in the first quarter of 2013 – by 15.8%. Deliveries of 14-inch models for the same period decreased by 13.2% to 13.3 million units from 15.4 million units.
