Moto X would be a great smartphone, except for one glaring problem: the quality of the camera’s shooting does not hold water when compared to the competition. Sometimes the camera photographs the tolerably well, but at times the picture quality just horrendous. And Motorola has released a patch that contains a lot of bug fixes and some of them for the camera.
The guys from AnandTech tested the update and found that, compared with the previous firmware image quality indoors and outdoors was much better , the white balance was adequate, and the noise in photos taken in low light – less. Suggest you to compare several photos taken on two phones, first shown a photograph taken on the machine with the old firmware, under it – on the phone with the new version.
Let me remind you that the Moto X got a very solid camera : Sensor 1/2.6 ” with pixels 1.4 μm, the aperture of F/2.4 and a unique filter system ClearPixel.
Update has already started receiving phone users from the operator T-Mobile via OTA. When the update is available to all the others, is not reported.
