Even the-Box, as required by now the trend of the moment, has launched a version of its extra-large speaker portable wireless: The Trax ( see link ) expands and becomes Max. The larger size (29 x 13 x 14cm) have benefited the audio section: Max has two full-range speaker 5cm, combined with a passive radiator 7.5 cm, for the reproduction of low frequencies.
The Class D amplifier is able to deliver a power of 30W RMS, a considerable quantity (if confirmed in the facts) for this type of products. On the back are placed settings for bass and treble, and you can also use the built-in battery for charging portable devices. Speaking of the battery, the life that guarantees can be reached 10 hours of operation (the amount varies depending on the conditions of use).
Max is equipped with a microphone for hands-free functions, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 (with EDR, A2DP, HSP, HFP and aptX) and support for NFC. Sources can also be connected via a cable, by means of the analog inputs on RCA and 3.5mm jack, and output is also available, again on a 3.5 mm jack. The list price is 149.99 pounds, about 178 Euro.
