American Maderis Rick (Rick Maderis), who previously held the position of Technical and graphic designer in a well-known company Adidas, decided this year to set up its own in Portland knife brand Burnside Knives. To date, the manufacturer has submitted only one model of a knife – a folding knife everyday Cabrillo, which is available in two versions covering the blade.
The blade of the knife, which has a form of type Clip Point and can be coated with titanium nitride, and without it, is manufactured using stainless steel AUS8, the manufacturer stated hardness steel at 58-60 HRC. The blade is fixed in the open position with a lock type Liner-Lock. Ergonomic handle new knife form completely removable smooth textured black lining of the already standard material G10. The handle includes a hole for the lanyard and a steel clip.
Full-length blade disclosed Burnside Knives Cabrillo reaches slightly more than 225 mm, length of the blade is 100 mm and the maximum thickness at the butt does not exceed 4 mm. The length of the blade in the folded form is 125 mm, the maximum thickness of the handle 16 mm. Total weight – 202 grams.
The manufacturer is already taking pre-orders for the new model jackknife Burnside Knives Cabrillo, which is estimated at $ 130. Sending the first batch of orders already scheduled for April 20.
