Fireweb – LG is the first smartphone based on the Firefox OS

LG has launched its first smartphone based operating system, Firefox OS. This new model is called Fireweb.

The presented model is equipped with a 4-inch touchscreen TFT display with a resolution of 480×320 pixels and a processor Qualcomm, clocked at 1 GHz. The amount of RAM is not specified, and the built-in storage capacity of flash-based memory is 4 GB. Also available are a memory card slot, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, wireless modules Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Users can access the application to surf the web, work with the camera, photo editing, social networking, navigation, and games. Missing applications can be downloaded using Firefox Marketplace store or use the web-based application.

Smartphone LG Fireweb will initially be available through the mobile operator Vivo Brazil. Price new subscribers will be about $ 59, the retail price – about $ 207.
