After a little more than a year Canon decides to renew its first mirrorless EOS M unveiling the new generation, simply called EOS M2. Lines very similar for the two cameras, practically equal, then a body particularly low (238g compared to 262g of the EOS M) under which we find the same 18MP APS-C sensor, DIGIC 5 processor and the new Hybrid CMOS AF II for Masses focus of about 2.3 times faster than in the past.
Comes in great demand module integrated 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, also seem solved the small problems of temporary darkening of the display. The price announced for the Japanese market is 64,800 yen, equivalent to € 463 for the body only, with lens (EF-M18-55 IS STM) will come instead to 84.800 yen, about € 606 at today’s exchange rate. Availability scheduled for the next few weeks, no indication for the European market. The EOS M was already a good mirrorless, maybe we would have expected some change more with this second generation.
