In WhatsApp appeared voice recordings

Yesterday the developers of the popular WhatsApp messenger announced their new achievement – monthly audience of applications has passed for 300 million users. In honor of such an important event the company has decided to please its customers and added new features to WhatsApp to all platforms the ability to record and send voice recordings interlocutor.

Now for voice recordings are not so popular: users prefer or write a message or call friends or family through the same Viber or Skype. However, WhatsApp is on its way and is not going to spoil users voice-grade calls, writes The Verge. Nevertheless, it probes the ground for entering the new market.

The company also recently shared their fresh statistics: its clients send about 31 billion messages every day, 325 million of which contain photographs only. For comparison – in June WhatsApp reported 27 billion emails and 250 million active users. In just one month the application audience increased by 20%.

WhatsApp has become popular due to its cross-platform. Not everyone has iMessage, after all smartphone customers on Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone too much. All of them had a single application for easy and , until recently, free communication around the world.

At the same time, all these messengers have certain security holes. In particular, many have long accused Viber in the transfer of personal data to third parties, WhatsApp and does not protect the correspondence of its customers. Therefore, third-party developers are already working on a messenger safest in the world for iOS and Android.

It’s amazing how a company with a staff of 45 employees was able to achieve such impressive results in such a short time. To reach the mark of 300 million accounts, the microblogging service Twitter took five years. With the current pace of growth WhatsApp would not be surprised if soon his audience will exceed half a billion users.
