Sony has introduced two advanced compact camera – RX1R and RX100M2, which were improved versions of RX1 and RX100.
Sony RX100M2 (RX100 Mark II) equipped with a 20.9-megapixel BSI CMOS matrix Exmor R, optics Carl Zeiss, covering a focal length range 28-100 mm (F / 1,8-F / 4,9), the new Bionz processor and 3 -inch swivel LCD-display with a resolution of 1300000 pixels. Sensitivity range is ISO 100-25600, is able to write new Full HD video at 24 frames per second continuous shooting and producing at 10 frames per second at full resolution.
RX100M2 interesting feature is the built-in support for Wi-Fi and NFC. In order to transfer the footage via Wi-Fi on a smartphone or a tablet, it will be enough just to touch one device to another (similar to Android Beam).
Cost Sony RX100M2 in the U.S. – $ 749 ($ 100 more expensive RX100). The novelty will appear on the shelves in July.
Sony RX1R, like its predecessor, received a full-frame 24.3-megapixel matrix, and the rest of the specs are the same with the RX1. The only difference is the lack of an optical low-pass filter. The absence of this filter, according to Sony, must disclose the maximum advantage of the increased resolution of the matrix and thus have a positive impact on the level of detail and contrast. In addition, the camera is equipped with a non-replaceable Carl Zeiss lens with a focal length of 37 mm and a maximum aperture of F / 2.
This camera will also appear in July and will cost $ 2,800.
