Apple bought the service Locationary

Apple has continued to refine its mapping service, which is still far from perfect. A few days ago, the network has information that the manufacturer of apple devices purchased a service called Locationary.

Locationary – a service that works with the information provided by users of the various places of interest, places or things to do. According to the developers of the project, their service is different huge database and has only the relevant data.

Thanks to Locationary apple maps may appear many interesting places that people can visit. As for the deal, then as long as the amount for which Apple acquired mapping service, are not reported.

Recall that in the past few years, the apple company acquired several small companies specializing in mapping and geolocation, including Poly9, C3 Technologies, Placebase and WiFiSLAM.
