HTC has recently launched the release of the new software update 4.18.401.3 dedicated to HTC One X that, as anticipated in recent days, becomes the recipient of a new “maintenance update”. It is not, therefore, a major update and the software release is based on Android 4.2.2. One of the main features of the new update in enhancing the NFC connectivity, while it is not yet clear whether the update will also introduce optimizations to the management of WiFi connectivity. The update is currently being distributed in the euro area, but may have to wait a few more days to receive it in all nations.
